Hey, I'm Noah. It's nice to meet you.
I've always had a love for the little details. I once read a quote that was deeply formative in my career as a designer:
"Everything around me is someone's life work."
This worldview has driven a deep appreciation for the world around me — a world that's been crafted by the relentless dedication of others. I think deeply about the experiences and the physical objects I encounter every day so as to uncover the "why" behind these minute decisions that have such an outsized impact on our lives. Whether that's a smooth self-checkout experience at the grocery store, or a particularly buttery-feeling knob on a gas range. Someone had to fight for that, because someone cared. I want that someone to be me.
I believe great design is something that few consciously notice, but everyone feels. That's what drew me to a career in product design. I've always wanted to evoke these feelings and bring an intangible joy to each and every interaction I create, no matter how unassuming. Why? Because deep down, we all value design, whether we realize it or not.
When my head isn't stuck in a laptop, you can find me indulging my love for experiences elsewhere: skiing, camping, scuba diving, rock climbing, and cooking, or trying to up my coffee game.

Laurier's BDes program is the first four-year design degree in Canada. As part of the first cohort, I had the unique opportunity to work on impactful design projects for real clients under the guidance of some incredible industry professionals, and help shape the future of this program for the next generation of talented young designers.
